Compliance tracking for trades businesses

An expired document shouldn’t cost you the job.

A lapsed insurance policy or license can stall work, fail an audit, or lose you a contract — usually with no warning. CompliCloud keeps every policy, license and certificate in one audit-ready place and reminds you weeks before each renewal, so nothing slips through.

What it does

Paperwork, handled.

The whole product in one story: follow a general liability certificate through a year in CompliCloud. Your part takes about two minutes.

  1. Day one

    It goes in.

Photograph the certificate or drop the PDF, pick a category, set the expiry date. That’s the last this document needs from you until renewal.

  2. The months after

    It sits on the board.

Every document, one dashboard. Green is covered, amber is running out, red has lapsed. Most mornings it’s all green, so you don’t even look.

  3. 30 days out

    The reminder lands.

Paid plans email you at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days, plus a notice on expiry day; the trial reminds you at 30. On paid plans, whoever handles your renewals can get a copy too. That head start matters — a GC can hold your crew off the site until a current COI is on file.

General liability insurance expires in 30 days

Renewal usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. Start now and upload the new copy when it arrives.

  4. Renewal day

The new copy goes in. The old one stays.

Upload the renewal and the timer resets. The old certificate is archived underneath it, not overwritten, so you can prove continuous coverage back to day one.

  5. Then it starts over, on its own. Every license, certification and COI you add gets the same treatment. One missed date can cost a stopped job and a client’s trust — this way, you barely remember the date exists.

Questions, answered.

What counts as a document?

Anything with an expiration date your business depends on: certificates of insurance (COIs), trade and contractor licenses, OSHA cards, training certificates, commercial auto insurance, equipment inspections. Upload a PDF or a photo, set the date, and CompliCloud watches it.

Can I track my subcontractors' insurance?

Yes, on the Business plan. Add each subcontractor and send them an upload link; they upload their COIs and licenses with no account needed, everything lands in your dashboard, and you get an alert the moment any of their coverage is about to lapse.

What happens when my free trial ends?

Your documents are safe — you can view and download them anytime, and nothing is ever deleted. But alerts stop, your share link goes dark, and adding or editing documents locks until you upgrade. Pro starts at $19/mo.

Who can see my documents?

Only you, unless you create a share link. A share link shows the status of the documents you choose — proof of validity, without the files. If you want a client or auditor to be able to open the actual documents, you can switch on downloads for that individual link; it is off unless you turn it on, and you can revoke the link at any time.

Can I cancel Pro anytime?

Yes. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. After that your account locks to read-only — your documents are never deleted, and you can view and download them anytime.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. CompliCloud runs in any browser, and uploading from a phone camera is the fastest way to add a document from a job site.

Can I track documents for my whole team?

Yes. Assign each document to a person when you upload it, then search or filter the dashboard by name. Certificates, licenses and training records stay organized per crew member, and reminders say who they belong to.
